mar, 7th - stills from the weekend.....

day 394:

i love a distressed surface......in fact one of my favourite artists of all time is Antoni Tapies, a Catalan painter, whose work in my view, often resembles graffiti on a rundown wall.......during our weekend in the country, I was inspired by the crumbling sheds around Gen and James' cottage.......wouldn't this make the most beautiful studio.....to throw open those doors in Summer and get painting.....

layers peeling away, revealing history, always makes me look a little closer.....

taking a look around, one of the buildings revealed an amazing collection of tactile, old fashioned woodworking tools...

after the Shoebox, all these buildings, all this space and all this inspiration, feels like utter indulgence......
