apr, 18th - thanks.....

day 802:

thanks for all the blog love lately......your comments make my day......and stumbling across reposts from shehadusathello always gives me the biggest grin.

it wasn't a great day (i blame pregnancy hormones) so i think we'll just start again tomorrow......

but before i do.......it's always a buzz to find the blog on these friday favourites; plus this tumblr site but what did surprise me this week was finding my way onto this page and seeing what has captured people's attention. seeing the pics in pinterest was an unexpected trip through some wonderful memories.

oct, 25th - some things in life are free....

day 602:

a coffee at the cafe in our street (well not free, exactly) and my own mini hot water bottle giving me fish kisses.....a simple but perfect end to a long day.

jun, 28th - tippity tap....

day 503:

it's been one of those days. a day where only music, dancing or a good book can help....or alternatively chocolate cake, a large glass of wine or an over-zealous bubble bath. 

i chose dancing...well in fact Limi's dancing. Jae had her tap shoes shipped from Oz and bought Limi her own pair so that they could step-ball-change around the Shoebox. it brings back so many memories of step-ball-changing around my own room growing up. 

Limi absolutely loves the sound they make....especially when stomping....good thing that they do most of their 'practising' while the neighbours are at work.

i would never force Limi to go in any direction.....so, if she loves dance as much as I did growing up then I will happily sew on sequins and sit in the audience at every show.....but if she just likes to stomp or make music then we can do that too.......

for now, it certainly gets you out of a funk watching her eyes light up as she clippity-clops around the living-room. who knew that tap shoes even came in such small sizes....... 

ps. although, Limi is determined to put on her own shoes at the moment they do generally end up on the wrong feet.....

nov, 23rd - one of those days.....

day 283:

yesterday, we had one of those days........

one of those days where the world (or at least West London) seems against you...nothing seems to be going right and you'd rather curl up with a blanket over your head and hide but instead.....you end up in a swimming-pool with a baby with a raging temperature.....

it's a day where the bus breaks down as you rush to get her home.....your husband is in India and you spend the night sitting up with a steaming baby sleeping on your chest.....trying to decide when is the right time to call the emergency doctor.

today is a new day. and Limi's temperature is down.....although it did reach a serious level at 2am....i'm still hoping that it was just a pesky tooth and not a virus with a longer term plan. 

anyway, i've booked her in to see the doctor later.
